Relaxed, sincere, honest, FUN.

That's how I'd describe Tamsin + Peter. It's always so delightful how the personality of a couple comes through at their wedding. There was a clown and children running around, infectious laughter emanating across the fields of The Farley Center. An ice cream truck with Choco Tacos and a delicious Mexican feast catered by one of the center's local farmers. Endless personal touches handmade by the bride herself, family lending a hand whenever needed and a whole lotta love from guests spanning two countries—his native USA ( Seattle, to be exact ) and her native Canada ( Toronto, to be exact ).

The day started with friends...then ended with friends and all-night dancing. Exactly how a wedding should be.

All that with some Wisconsin beer. Life can be so good.

A few months ago, I had the chance to shoot one of the cutest families on one of the most unbearably beautiful Wisconsin evenings. It was the kind of evening when life seems sublime just being in the presence of the warm summer sun. And of course, the whole thing was made even better by getting to hang with my lil' buddy Evan.

I've affectionately dubbed Evan the kid of many faces, because I mean COME ON, that toothless grin! The entire shoot was so much fun. From Evan running his beloved dogs out into the open fields...to suggesting poses he could make for the camera ( totally adorable )...to leading all of us back to the barn for some last family shots, this kid is one of my favorites. He's hilarious and energetic and such a sweet boy, which I attest to his equally awesome parents.

One of the cutest families, for sure.

MAYA + STELLA

One of the first photography shoots I ever did was of Maya. More than a year-and-a-half and lots of photography practice later, I had the oh-so-lovely pleasure of photographing Maya once again...this time with her new little sister, Stella.

These gals are two of my favorites—perhaps because their mother is my mentor + one of the best people I know, but also because they are just stinkin' cute. A few months ago, we spent a leisurely few hours together at their house just hanging + soothing Ms. Stella's case of the grumps + laughing a lot, because you kinda can't help laughing when Maya is making any one of her array of hilarious faces. Here is just a small collection of some of my favorite shots, including what I believe is Maya + Stella's very first selfie ( last shot, above ).

This family wins the award for most squishable cheeks, do they not?

They're totally the best.
